You'll be connected with a crisis counselor (it takes a few minutes, so don't lose patience). Once you're connected, you can text back and forth like you normally would. A conversation typically lasts anywhere from 15-45 minutes, and ends when you and the crisis counselor both feel you're in a calm, safe place.
